The following is an overview of the Filter's features and benefits. | - Parent and child accounts
With the Integrity Online Internet Filter, parents have the ability to create multiple user profiles for various members of the household. Each user would then have a profile to log into. The filtering policies for each profile could be different. The Filter contains 33 categories of Internet content filtering to choose from. A parent could grant access to certain categories and block others. - Built-in Accountability features
Send a report of all web activity to any email address you select. These reports can be customized to include daily, weekly or monthly reports that are sent automatically. - Web blocking
Parents can entirely block web access for selected members of the household. This feature can be used as a method of disciplinary action. A parent may also choose to limit a user to specific blocks of time within which they are allowed access to the Internet. - Instant message blocking
Parents can block access to instant messaging applications, such as MSN Instant Messenger, ICQ Instant Messenger, and Yahoo Instant Messenger. Parents may also choose to limit a user's instant messaging activity to specific blocks of time. - File sharing blocking
The Filter allows the blocking of common file sharing applications, such as Kazaa, eDonkey, and BitTorrent. File sharing software enables peer-to-peer (computer to computer) exchanges of potentially inappropriate material such as copyrighted music, movies, games, and pornographic material. Parents may choose to allow a user access to these applications, but limit that user's activity to specific blocks of time on those applications. - Personal deny list
The Filter provides a parent the ability to block certain web sites individually, even if those web sites are part of a category that has not been chosen to be blocked. The parent simply adds those particular web sites to the "deny list". - Personal allow list
These are the opposite of "deny lists". This feature enables the parent to grant a user access to certain web sites, even though those sites fall within a category that is being blocked. The parent simply adds those particular web sites to the "allow list". - Password protection for uninstall
The Integrity Online Internet Filter's client tool ensures that the application cannot be uninstalled from the computer unless the master password (which the parent sets) is entered first. - Intuitive use
The Integrity Online Internet Filter's is an extremely user-friendly application. Profiles for various users can be created in seconds. The general layout and ease of operation provided by the client interface allows parents to quickly implement protection for the entire family. - Web updates
