These are a few of the most common question about the filter and the answers. If you have a question that is not covered here or you need further assistance call us at 1-800-468-3474.
Q: I just installed the filter and now I cannot access the Internet. Why is this?
A: Remember that if there is not an active Profile then the filter will deny all access to the Internet. Remember to log into a Profile after your First Time Login.
Q: I just logged into the profile and now I only have the options to Log Out or Enter the Profile Manager. How do I get to the web?
A: Simply close the window using the X in the top right corner and then open your browser and surf away.
Q: I need to access my Profile Manager. How do I do this?
A: The Profile Manager can be reached in
two ways. The first is to double click on the keyhole icon
in your tool bar. This is in the lower right of you screen next to the
clock. The second is to open you web browser and enter the address myfilter.integrity.com.
Q: I only have one profile in my filter and this is the only one my family uses. How do I set up the filter to always use this profile without logging in every time?
A: First enter you Profile Manager. Now go the the General settings of the profile you want to use. Set it to No Password. Click Save Changes. Now access the Preferences. Choose "Use Profile on restart" and make sure that the Profile you want to use is in the drop down box. Click Save Changes. Now your computer will automatically log into the chosen Profile.
Q: I have multiple profiles and I want the each user to choose which profile they use. How do I set that up?
A: First enter your Profile Manager. Go to the General settings of each profile. Have the users set their passwords and click Save Changes. Click on Preferences. Choose "Exit Profile on Restart" and "Exit Profile on Screen-saver Activation". Click Save Changes. Now your computer will ask for you to Choose a Profile on start up and after your Screen-saver has activated.
Q: Who can access the settings to turn the filtering on and off?
A: Only the Profile Manager can make changes to the filtering. The passwords assigned to each profile only govern who can use those settings to access the Internet.
Q: What is the maximum number of profiles I can set up?
A: You can have up to 5 profiles at one time.
Q: The filter can be used on up to 3 computers. How do I get the software on another computer?
A: You can download the software at anytime from upgrade.integrity.com.
Q: Why would I need a password on a profile if it doesn't let me make any changes?
A: If you are using multiple profiles with varying levels of access, then you need the password on the profiles so that only the ones how are supposed to use each profile can access that profile. Also if you want to be the only one that has access to the Internet you can put a password on the profile and require a login every time the computer is restarted and after the screensaver has activated.
Q: I was told that the filter had a remote login feature. How do I do this?
A: From any computer that does not have its own copy of the Integrity Filter you can go to myfilter.integrity.com. From here you can enter you Profile Manager username and password and access all your filter settings.
Q: I use Windows Vista. Why isn't my filter working correctly?
A: Vista has some unique settings that need to be adjusted before the Integrity Filter will work properly. This is a temporary fix. A future release of our filter will no require these adjustments. Click here to see the instructions.
