Profiles brings the Profile Manager to the home page that lists all of the profiles you manage.
Submit for review Here you can submit a site to us for content review. Use this feature if you believe we have incorrectly categorized a site, an Instant Messenger or File Sharing application you believe we should add to the blockable protocols Please include the website address or name of the application and a brief description of why you want it reviewed.
Preferences Here, we can control how users login to their Profiles, how much information is available to users when they get a Denied site and language and time zone settings.
Active Profile Settings
Retain Profile remembers what profile you were in when the computer was shut off. The computer will automatically log back into that profile on restart.
Exit Profile on restart will require users to log into a profile in order to access the Internet.
Use this Profile on restart will automatically log into the profile in the dropdown box every time the computer boots up.
Remember My Profile works with Windows XP set up for multiple users. It allows the filter to associate a Profile with the XP username.
Exit Profile on screensaver activation will log out of the current profile when the screensaver turns on.
Choose Profile Settings governs the interface users use to log into their profiles. Picture and Dropdown have a listing of the Profile names. This way, the user only needs to know the correct password. Input requires the user to know both their Profile name and password.
Deny Page Settings controls how much information the user is given when they attempt to access a denied site. The detailed setting gives the most information including the reason the page was denied such as what Category it is in. The minimal page just tells the user that the page is denied. No deny page gives the user a generic 404 error. Include 5 Minute Allow Access link will give the user the option to enter a pre established password in order to enter the site for the amount of time chosen from the dropdown box. Include admin email link will allow the user to email the address you have here with requests that sites be allowed.
Time Zone Settings need to be correct so that your Time Restrictions will work properly.
Change Password:
Here you can change your Profile Managers password.
Software Updates: This is to check for updates to your software. The filters are updated automatically. This is just for check for updates to your client interface software.
Exit Profile Manager: Exits the Profile Manager and returns you to the Internet Access Status screen.
